Copper Conversion Kit Service Instructions
Instructions for Installation of ¼" Copper Unloader Line
Parts Included:
- ¼" Copper Tube (1)
- Length will differ by kit/model (either 10.5” or 12.5”)
- Brass Ring (2)
- Brass Nut (2)
Instructions:
- Drain tank pressure completely!
- Disconnect original nylon or copper tubing by unthreading brass nuts on both ends. Remove & discard
- Pre-bend new copper tube to approximate curve needed.
- Manual spring pipe bending tool (¼”) can be used to assist, if available
- Slide the brass nuts on both ends of copper tube, followed by brass rings.
- Push & hold tubing as far as possible into check valve side connection end. Tighten the compression nut. Do not over-tighten.
- Push & hold tubing into the other connection. Tighten the second compression nut.
- WARNING - copper tube may become hot during operation.
- Make sure copper tubing is far enough away from the regulator knob to be able to turn by hand without your hand touching copper.
- Make sure the copper line is not touching an air tank, saddle, or anything else.
- Start air compressor and test for leaks on each end using a soap/water solution from a spray bottle.
